What we ask is devotion — not perfection. Show up for yourself and the people in this container with you. Some arcs will take you somewhere unexpected. That is the initiation working.

The earth is not the roots. It is what makes roots possible. Before vision or voice, before descent or fire or breath — you need ground that can hold you. This is where that ground is made. Earth work is slow by design.
Water does not rise to meet you. It shows you where to go by going there first. Depth before clarity. That is the way of water. This phase asks you to stop moving around what you have been circling. The descent is guided. The water practice asks you to return to where you began — before language, before story, before form.
Fire does not sustain itself. It asks you to keep showing up. To feed it, tend it, sit with it — consistently, devotedly. In return it will transmute what you bring to it faster than any other element. Anger becomes clarity. Grief becomes fuel. What felt stuck becomes direction. This is not metaphor. You are not learning fire. You are returning to it.
Most people have forgotten how to breathe. Not metaphorically. Literally. Somewhere between the noise and the pace of life, the breath became shallow, held, managed. This phase is about returning to the most fundamental relationship you have — the one between you and your own breath. Inhale and exhale. Self and other. The seen and the unseen. Air is the space between all things. Your voice when air moves through you with intention.
To return is not to go back. It is to arrive — more fully, more truly — into yourself. The insights are yours. The clarity is yours. The declaration you speak on Day 32 is yours. What happens in the closing ceremony on Day 33 is witnessed and held. You do not leave the way you arrived.
You are starting from everything you have already lived.
